不過,最近的科學研究成果完全可以讓你以后底氣十足地說:“人家可不就是個寶寶呢!”
腦科學家證實:人的大腦到了30歲以后才會完全成年。
在倫敦牛津醫(yī)學科學院最近的一次會議上,劍橋大學的神經(jīng)科學家彼得⋅瓊斯教授解釋說,我們的大腦并非一夜之間就成熟了,而是一個循序漸進的過程,最終達到成人狀態(tài)要到我們30多歲的時候了。

Research suggests people aged 18 are still going through changes in the brain which can affect behaviour and make them more likely to develop mental health disorders.
研究表明,人的大腦在18歲時仍在發(fā)生重大變化,其中不少變化會影響他們的行為,使他們更容易患上心理疾病。

他補充說道,大部分國家都規(guī)定18歲了就算成年,一旦年滿18就可以投票、買酒、抵押貸款等等,但這樣的規(guī)定其實只是讓教育、醫(yī)療和法律系統(tǒng)運轉(zhuǎn)起來更為簡便。
“What we’re really saying is that to have a definition of when you move from childhood to adulthood looks increasingly absurd,” professor Peter Jones explained at the meeting. “It’s a much more nuanced transition that takes place over three decades."
